You Deserve to Be Loved Well
Love. Such a short, yet powerful word.
We all know this month is going to be filled with shades of red, dozens of roses, soft (or hard) couple launches on social media, crowded restaurants, you name it. Even in the midst of all the frills of Valentine’s Day and Love Month, let’s take time to remember that God’s love is (in the words of Evangelist Whitney Elizabeth Houston) “the greatest love of all.”
One way God shows His great love for us is through community. He pours His love into us through the love, prayers, and comfort of others. It’s such a beautiful thing! But the enemy will use tactics such as bitterness and rejection to keep us from communing in love.
Sister, you may have been burned by relationships in the past. You may find it hard to trust others. We get it. But ask God to cleanse your heart and dig out all of the disappointment that has left you jaded. Don’t let the enemy keep you isolated, convincing you that it’s better to be alone. There are people out here that WANT to love you - that are EQUIPPED to love you. God has ordained them, so ask Him to point them out and bring them into your circle!
He doesn’t intend for us to do life alone and closed off from the blessing of relationships (sisterly and even romantically *wink wink*). Pray this short prayer today:
God, heal my broken heart. Restore the areas of my life that are keeping me from receiving the community you’ve ordained for me. Show me how to love and be loved WELL - I want to feel your loving arms through the embrace of others. In Jesus’ loving name, amen.
So, we have one question: will you be our Galentine?! There’s plenty of sisterly, Godly love to go around on the Cove! :)
